Many of those bungalow driveways are original and have moved over the decades. A new surface poured over what is already there repeats the problem, so the old driveway comes out and the base gets rebuilt before anything is formed.
On the streets toward the Bluffs the lots slope, and on a concrete slab the level is set at the forming stage. We grade and form first, because it cannot be adjusted once the pour is done.
The Agincourt and West Hill lots are tighter, often close to the neighbouring drive. The forms follow what is actually there, and the edges are finished by hand where the machines cannot reach.
Full driveways and widenings are the bulk of what we pour here, and smaller pours get quoted too. On a tight lot it is usually worth doing the walkway or the apron at the same time rather than bringing a crew back for it later.
