Asphalt Paving in Mississauga

Mississauga runs from the lakeside streets of Port Credit and the village core of Streetsville out to the wide suburban lots of Meadowvale and Erin Mills — older waterfront driveways and newer subdivision asphalt that age on very different schedules. Magnum paves both ends of that range, from a single Cooksville driveway to a full commercial lot off Hurontario near Square One.

In the newer Erin Mills, Meadowvale, and Churchill Meadows subdivisions, a lot of the original asphalt was builder-grade — laid thin over a base that was never compacted, and it is now cracking and sinking at the edges. That is prime territory for a full replacement done to the right depth rather than another surface patch that fails by spring. Older Port Credit and Lorne Park driveways are a different job: mature lots where drainage has shifted over the decades, so we regrade for runoff and protect established trees before any new surface goes down.

The commercial corridors around Square One, the Living Arts Centre, and the Dixie business parks carry serious traffic, and the lots that serve them cannot simply close for a week. We phase large parking lots, run the off-hours and weekends, and build the sub-base and slope a high-traffic site actually needs — proper compaction, the right asphalt mix, and grading to the catch basins so water moves instead of pooling.

Mississauga's freeze-thaw swings are hard on asphalt, so timing matters. Fresh paving and sealcoating go down best from late spring through early fall when the base is dry and temperatures hold, and we will tell you straight if a repair will hold the winter or if you are better off waiting for a proper job in the right window.
