Everything about an exterior slab here is decided by freeze-thaw and road salt. We pour an air-entrained mix specified for both, and cure it properly rather than finishing the surface and leaving.
Booking matters more in Barrie than further south. Concrete needs warm conditions to place and time to gain strength afterwards, so a pour late in the season is a worse pour. We would rather schedule you early than squeeze one in against the first freeze.
